AC Milan keeps his chance to take Inter's position, with their latest win against Catania at Stadium of Angelo Massimino, 3/5/2009. AC Milan beat the home team 2-0 with the goal from Pippo and Kaka.

Milan score their first goal at 26', come from the assist from Kaka to Inzaghi in the penalty area. Without hard defence from Catania, Super Pippo makes a soft-kick to the goal line. 10 minutes before half time, Inzaghi almost score another goal from the assist from Pirlo, but his heading ball is still out of area.

Rossoneri makes their second goal in sevent minutes after half time. This time the goal come from Kaka, with his shooting in penalty area. Leading 2-0 not makes Milan satisfied, and still plays attacking football. in 56', Jankulovski's attack still can be safe by Catania's keeper.

AC Milan maintain their winning streak after beat Palermo 3-0 at San Siro, 26/4/2009. Kaka become the man of the match with his two goal from Penalty.

Milan plays well and dominate the game, and make a lot of chance in both half. Milan score the first goal in 10 minutes, after Ambrossini has been beat down in penalty area. Kaka as the penalty taker success to make Milan lead 1-0.

The second goal come in 19 minutes. one-two pass from Kaka and Ambrossini ended by a crossing ball from Ambrossini to the far post. Inzaghi that awaits there can make the ball to the goal line to make Milan leads 2-0. After that goal, Milan looks confident, and continue their attack's pace, but no goal happen again until half time.

In second half, Milan can make one more goal, once again with penalty kick from Kaka, after Kaka has been fouled in the area.

While pippo is happy when he score hattrick in his latest game against Torino, Pippo want to makes an apologize to Torino's manager, Giancarlo Camolese.

With hattrick from Filippo Inzaghi, AC Milan crushed Torino with 5-1 in the Serie A games at San Siro, 20/4/2009. With this win, Milan now in runner-up position.

AC Milan plays very well, and dominate the game, with the ball possesion of 62:38. AC Milan makes the first goal in 13 minutes, after Inzaghi makes heading shoot from corner kick that takes by Beckham. 10 minutes later, Beckham once again makes a good assist for Inzaghi, but the ball can be taken by Torino's goalkeeper, Sereni.

Second goal for Milan came in 37 minutes. Once again Inzaghi makes a heading to take Beckham's cross ball from outside of Penalty area. in 60 minutes, Inzaghi makes his third goal of the match, after beat Torino's offside trap then takes the cross ball from Ronaldinho.

In 66 minutes, Super-Pippo is been subsituded by Andriy Shevchenko, but Milan's attack is not end in this moment. in 68 minutes, Massimo Ambrossini has been beaten down by Sereni in penalty area. Kaka as the penalty taker success to makes Milan lead with 4-0.

Alessandro Nesta has struggled with injuries for a majority of his career. The gifted defender is always an injury worry and he has already had surgery done on his knees several times.

However, AC Milan have gotten some more good news following their 1-0 victory over Inter on Sunday evening. The former Azzurri defender has started training again after his long-term injury that has resulted in him not playing a single minute so far this season.

On Monday, the 32-year-old began running again and did training exercises on the field and workouts in the gym, working separately from his teammates. The Rossoneri are hoping Nesta reaches full fitness soon, as some pundits have identified Milan's central defense as a weak link this season.

The former Lazio player is contracted to Milan until 2011 and is widely known as one of the best defenders in Serie A. He quit the national team set up after the World Cup 2006 as he felt it took too much of a toll and resulted in him being injured more often.

Whoever the national team coach has been since that time, whether it be Roberto Donadoni or Marcello Lippi, they have stated that they would welcome Nesta back with open arms if he chose to represent the Azzurri once again.

Nesta has made 227 appearances for Milan since he joined them in 2002, scoring five goals.

Milan's Brazilian trio of Kaka-Pato-Ronaldinho failed to break down bottom of the table Cagliari, who pick up their first point.

Carlo Ancelotti went from facing the axe to declaring the Rossoneri Scudetto favourites in the space of a fortnight thanks to five straight wins between Serie A and the UEFA Cup. The derby victory further boosted morale and Ronaldinho got off the mark, but they went into this game without Andrea Pirlo, Kakha Kaladze, Alessandro Nesta, Philippe Senderos, Giuseppe Favalli and Marco Borriello. Cagliari, on the other hand, had lost all five of their games this season, hadn't scored since Week 1 and Coach Massimiliano Allegri was hanging by a thread.

Milan created a great chance as Alexandre Pato was sent clear by a smart ball over the top, but Marchetti came tearing out to close him down from eight yards. After the restart Ambrosini attempted an audacious shot on the bounce from almost 40 metres, forcing Marchetti to backpedal and fingertip it out from under the bar. From the resultin corner Marchetti smothered a Marek Jankulovski snapshot.

Kaka also had a go from distance and skimmed the woodwork and Ronaldinho did a series of tricks and nutmegs in quick succession before he was hacked down by Daniele Conti. Pato's glancing header whistled wide as he got between the central defenders, but moments later Dinho sent Pato down the left channel and his angled drive brought a splendid save out of Marchetti.

From the resulting corner a Clarence Seedorf scissor-kick from the D was just over, but it was a more open encounter now and Abbiati had his palms stung by a Cossu piledriver. Andriy Shevchenko's goal helped ease Milan nerves as they comfortably saw off FC Zurich 4-1 on aggregate in their UEFA Cup first round tie. Carlo Ancelotti's men had a firm advantage after their 3-1 win at San Siro but the late away goal left them with a job still to do in Switzerland.

Andriy Shevchenko and Ronaldinho were started up front with Clarence Seedorf playing behind them. Within the opening 180 seconds, Shevchenko found himself through on goal, but Johnny Leoni blocked his effort. The Ukrainian international had another good chance in the 12th minute but Leoni again denied him with a superb save.

Kakha Kaladze went down and was replaced by Paolo Maldini after half an hour. Nelson Dida comfortably stopped a fizzing long-range strike from Silvan Aegerter. The Brazilian shot-stopper also blocked an effort from Dusan Djuric, who scored with a rocket in the first leg.

Milan were growing in confidence and they played some spectacular football as Ronaldinho back-heeled the ball to Luca Antonini who found Seedorf, but the Dutchman's effort grazed the post. On the stroke of half-time, Dinho seemed to have teed up Sheva for a tap-in, but the ex-Chelsea man didn't get there in time and the danger was cleared.

Ronaldinho, who was high on confidence after his derby heroics, provided a delightful assist for Sheva to slot precisely past Leoni for the first goal since his return to San Siro. The game ended with Zurich pressurising the Milan goal, but they were only looking for a consolation goal that never came. It's mission accomplished for Ancelotti, who can await the draw for the next round.

Ronaldinho's debut Serie A goal gave Milan the Derby della Madonnina to end Inter's undefeated record. This was an all-star derby and both teams brought out the big guns. Carlo Ancelotti was without the injured Marco Borriello, Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta and Pippo Inzaghi, so he unveiled the Brazilian trio of Ronaldinho, Kaka and Alexandre Pato. Jose Mourinho went with Ricardo Quaresma, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Amantino Mancini.

This was Mourinho's first derby, although he had met Ancelotti once before, losing the European Super Cup with Porto. The Rossoneri had a disastrous start to the campaign, but were coming off three straight wins between Serie A and the UEFA Cup. San Siro was sold out and the Inter end was covered in a banner that read: 'Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight the city of Milan is proud to present...'

In the opening three minutes Kaka and Mancini had shots on goal, but when Milan pushed forward, Inter put 10 men behind the ball and prepared to pounce on rapid counter-attacks. An acrobatic Marco Materazzi clearance prevented Pato going clear on goal from nine yards on Ronaldinho's chipped pass, but at the other end an Ibrahimovic cross-shot was kicked out by an outstretched Christian Abbiati foot.

Milan had a fantastic chance on 25 minutes. Ronaldinho and Kaka combined down the left flank for the former Barcelona man's angled drive, bringing a splendid save out of Julio Cesar at the near post.

On the counter-attack Kaka sprung the offside trap down the right flank and chipped up a pass for Ronaldinho's towering header from eight yards! Dinho out-jumped Cambiasso and went mad in his celebrations, dancing and riling up the crowd after his first Serie A goal.

There was curious moment as Gattuso and Ancelotti had a shouting match on the sidelines following a booking, the Coach telling his player to calm down.

Pato went on a blazing run down the right channel, but was closed down at the last second by Julio Cesar. Materazzi would've risked a red card if his collision with Pato was considered to be a foul, as the Brazilian was clear on goal, but the referee waved play on.

Ambrosini got the crowd on its feet with a series of tackles in quick succession to clear the danger and as Kaka was going on the counter, Burdisso hacked him down for a second bookable offence, leaving Inter with 10 men for the final 14 minutes.

Materazzi was sent off from the bench for his furious protests. Replays show there was contact, but it was very similar to the first half incident between Materazzi and Kaka, so the referee remained consistent.

Andriy Shevchenko came on as Ronaldinho was given a standing ovation by San Siro. Sheva has an excellent record in the derby, scoring 14 goals in 15 games against Inter.

Milan are back in business as Clarence Seedorf, Gianluca Zambrotta, Alexandre Pato and Kaka screamers sank leaders Lazio 4-1.

Unusually, this was a clash between the top and bottom of the table, as the Rossoneri hadn't picked up a single point and Lazio had a 100 per cent record. Milan were boosted by Thursday's 3-1 UEFA Cup victory over Zurich and the return of Gennaro Gattuso ahead of schedule after fracturing his wrist. Andrea Pirlo, Alessandro Nesta and Philippe Senderos were injured, but Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko were surprisingly dropped. It was a special game for Cristian Brocchi, who returned to face his old club just weeks after the transfer.

Milan created a great chance five minutes in, with Alexandre Pato's backheel flick from Kaka's pass caught by Juan Pablo Carrizo. It was a warning, as soon after they took the lead with a stroke of luck. Clarence Seedorf was trying to combine with Kaka, but it ricocheted off Cristian Ledesma's chest back into his path, so he did not hesitate to smash an unstoppable strike under the bar from 10 yards with the inside of his right foot.

After the restart Zambrotta was sent totally clear into the box on Seedorf's pass only to place a cross-chip off target. The move continued and from the left flank Marek Jankulovski crossed for Pato's marvellous diving header from six yards. Kaka was spurred on by the Zambrotta wonder goal and decided to try it himself, as he smashed a fantastic curler from 25 metres into the far top corner. Carrizo wasn't expecting it and was just a step away from getting his fingertips to it, but the finish was still marvellous.

The San Siro was on its feet in anticipation as Ronaldinho replaced fellow Selecao star Pato for the final 20 minutes. Borriello sprung the offside trap on a Dinho ball over the defence - as he looked the other way - and saw his shot beaten away by Carrizo.

Massimo Ambrosini's unorthodox defending style caused a few concerns in the box, then on 76 minutes Zarate sent Pandev clear and brought a wonderful one-handed save out of Abbiati from point-blank range. Ronaldinho was unlucky not to get a fifth in stoppages, as his solo effort was deflected on to the crossbar off Sebastiano Siviglia. As the move continued, Borriello's header skimmed the upright.

Diego Milito scored on his comeback to Genoa, but Milan suffer a second consecutive defeat that piles pressure on Carlo Ancelotti.

Talk of Ancelotti's dismissal was in the air after the disastrous 2-1 home defeat to Bologna and midweek 2-0 friendly loss with Swiss outfit Lugano. He needed time to make the new-look team gel, but it was something he could not afford.

With Pippo Inzaghi, Gennaro Gattuso and Alessandro Nesta sidelined, he at least welcomed back Kaka from a recurring knee problem to form a Ballon d'Or winning trident with Ronaldinho and Andriy Shevchenko. Former Genoa hero Marco Borriello was on the bench.

Milan supporters were banned from travelling to Marassi due to the intense rivalry and bloody history between the clubs following the death of Genoa fan Vincenzo Spagnolo in the 1990s.

Ronaldinho had an opportunity in the first minute, but Genoa slowly started to increase the pressure with Christian Abbiati smothering a long-range Andrea Gasbarroni effort.

Kaka went on a counter from his own penalty area, but Giuseppe Biava did enough to steer him wide and he eventually fired off target. Andrea Pirlo tried from distance and Ronaldinho's ambitious free kick missed the near post.

Carlo Ancelotti caused shockwaves when he dropped the two big summer signings, as Sheva and Ronaldinho - who had been on international duty this week - made way for former Genoa hero Borriello and Clarence Seedorf.

Almost immediately Borriello had a spin charged down by Matteo Ferrari, but there was a scare as Abbiati had to fly to fingertip a cross off the head of Milito from six yards.

On 57 minutes Kaka was furious when he was booked for simulation as he tried to shrug off Giuseppe Biava in the box. He seemed to lose his footing, so it was a fairly harsh decision.

Alexandre Pato came on for a 4-2-3-1 system and his header was immediately off target. Kaka and Gasbarroni had efforts charged down, but Milan had a great chance to equalise on 83 minutes. Pato pounced on a lucky ricochet to bring a tough point-blank save out of Rubinho and Borriello's overhead kick turned the loose ball wide.

Massimo Ambrosini had been able to score against Bologna, but his turn in the box hit the side-netting, then Rubinho caught a Zambrotta piledriver. Milan were pouring forward, but it left space at the back where Antony Vanden Borre's counter was palmed away by Abbiati.

In the final minute the Rossoneri's ambitions were crushed as Paolo Maldini tripped Milito in the box. El Principe stepped up to take the penalty on his Serie A comeback after three years in Spain and blasted it into the roof of the net.

Inzaghi Injured (Again)

There are fears Filippo Inzaghi will not play for Milan when they travel to Genoa on Sunday after he picked up an injury again during the friendly game against Lugano.

Inzaghi had to limp off just minutes into the match in Switzerland and Il Corriere Dello Sport claims Inzaghi has strained an adductor muscle in his right leg.

It’s not good news for the Rossoneri. This game was organised to give those players recovering from injury a run out before Serie A restarts this weekend.

Alexandre Pato is now the only fit striker available to Ancelotti for the match in Genoa on Sunday.

Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann said: "Massimo Oddo is a type of player, who can cover the whole right flank. He will greatly increase out quality because of his experience and his tactical and technical abilities."

Klinsmann revealed he had been looking at Oddo for some time. "We have had Massimo Oddo in our sights for a long time," he said. "We have the chance to get him, and now we have used it."

Oddo will be the second Italy international at the Allianz Arena, joining striker Luca Toni. The 32-year-old only moved to Milan from Lazio in January 2007 and was in the side which beat Liverpool in the Champions League final that May. He missed out on a place in Roberto Donadoni's Euro 2008 squad with a knee injury.

Oddo was a member of the Milan side which knock Bayern out of the Champions League last season.Oddo is unlikely to make his Bayern debut against Hertha Berlin this Sunday but should feature in the first game back after the international break, away to Cologne on September 13.

The 23-year-old Defender arrived in the Italian city on Tuesday to finalise a deal, the details of which remain undisclosed. He helped the Gunners win the 2005 FA Cup but injury forced him to sit out the 2006 Champions League final.

He will not be available for Milan's Serie A opener at home to to Bologna on Sunday due to a slight injury, but chief executive Adriano Galliani believes his signing, coupled with the club's other summer recruits, gives Milan a squad capable of winning the title.

"He has a little problem with his back but he has told me he will be ready in around 10 days," said Galliani. "I believe Ancelotti has to be happy with our recruits. It is a squad for the scudetto."

Paolo Maldini has spent his entire career with Milan, and is the most-selected player in both the history of the club and Serie A. He played at the left-back position for the majority of his career and has played the centre-back position since 2002, but he made several appearances at left back in the last season.

Maldini made his league debut on20 January 1985, at the age of sixteen, against Udinese as a halftime substitution. It would be his only league appearance of the campaign, but he was in the starting eleven the next season.

Maldini make his first Scudetto at the season of 1987-88 He was also part of AC Milan's undefeated "Dream Team" from the late 1980s to the early 1990s. In addition to winning his third Champions League, Maldini became the first defender ever to win World Soccer magazine's annual World Player Award.

Maldini announced his plans to retire at the end of the 2007-08 season. However, following Milan's elimination from the Champions League by Arsenal Maldini stated that he would possibly delay his retirement for at least a further year. He signed an extension on June 6 that will keep him at Milan for the 2008-09 season. Milan plan to retire his number 3 shirt, but it will be bequeathed to one of his sons if one makes the club's senior side.

Although he is not as good as his golden year, his experience will give benefits for the club.

Milan have announced they have signed Andriy Shevchenko from Chelsea!

The news was confirmed in official statements on the websites of both clubs this evening at around 18.00 UK time.

“AC Milan announce we have agreed a deal with FC Chelsea for Andriy Shevchenko’s move to the Rossoneri. He will be in Milan tomorrow so that he can make a medical test on Monday,” read a statement on their official club website.

General manager Adriano Galliani revealed the details of the extraordinary development, which seemed to have collapsed because Chelsea would not release the player on loan. “After a series of frenetic telephone calls throughout the day, we have agreed a deal with Chelsea,” said Galliani on Milan Channel. “From Tuesday, Sheva will be at the disposal of Ancelotti. We have been able to bring home the player who has scored more goals in the last 50 years than anyone else in a Rossoneri jersey.

This will sets up a spectacular strike force with Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Kaka and Brazilian teenager Alexandre Pato.

“I think we are the only club in the world to have three Ballon d’Or winners in their ranks,” continued Galliani.

However, Chelsea and Milan are refusing to reveal how this agreement was struck. “The details of the deal are very reserved.
